guitar teacher kent island Pictured at the right (and above) is Island Guitar Studios Owner Burt Jamison playing for the first time with the Chris Sacks Band in September 2019 at the Kent Island Elks Club. Outside. Under the tarps. In the rain. Burt played through his Roland Cube 30 and used an old Squier Affinity Strat that evening. It is one of his favorite guitars.

More recently Burt played with Chris Sacks.on November 3, 2025 the start of Oyster Season at the Elks every Monday. He used his PRS guitar and amp for that gig.

Already own a guitar? Great! If not, you may be able to borrow one of Burt's Student Guitars - subject to availability.

Borrowing Guitars - If any are available, there is a one time non refundable fee of $40 to borrow a guitar, and $40 to borrow an amp (if needed). Which you will take home with you. You may borrow the guitar/ amp for as long as you take lessons from Burt at no additional cost. If you stick with your guitar lessons Burt may allow you to keep your borrowed Student Guitar! Yep!
